Dr Chris James

Dr Chris James graduated from the University of Sydney in 1974. He became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1979 and entered private practice in Wollongong in 1980. Dr James was Fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada from 1988 to 1990. He then re-entered practice in Wollongong as a Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. Dr James received Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1995.

His hospital appointments include Wollongong Day Surgery, Illawarra Private Hospital and the Illawarra Area Health Service. He is an Honorary Fellow in the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences, University of Wollongong and Clinical Lecturer, Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales.

Dr James's clinical practice includes all forms of assisted reproduction, tubal microsurgery, early miscarriage management and reproductive endocrinology. He maintains an ongoing interest in general gynaecology.
